WHAT IS ESCROW?

 

Escrow is a process that evolved to ensure the protection for all parties to a real estate transaction.  A “neutral” third party or “stakeholder” is nominated to hold the funds and documents until the purchaser receives appropriate assurance that the property has been transferred.  

 

Today, the escrow of a property is overseen by an escrow officer,

like Maria Ramirez, Senior Escrow Officer and Escrow Manager,

employed by an independent escrow company, like Madison

Capital Escrow, Inc.  or a title company.  All parties are protected

because the escrow holder, like Madison Capital Escrow, Inc., will

retain the funds and documents until all the instructions are fulfilled.
